“Vengeance of the Molecule Man!” Writer: Steve Gerber Pencils: Gil Kane When I first had the idea of reviewing randomly
Read MoreReviews of FIRST ISSUE comic books. Definitely the most important, expensive and exciting things in comics! Topped only by the next FIRST ISSUE of the same title or character.
For our “RATING” system, we use incremental cover prices from 1940 to 2000. 10 cents (lowest rating) to $2.50 (highest rating). That doesn’t mean that there are 241 levels of rating. Rather, there are 18 levels of rating. Based off of comic book cover prices, dating back to the 1940’s (10 cents, 12 cents, 15 cents, 20 cents, etc.). We don’t go higher than $2.50, as we feel that’s the max you should pay for a new FIRST ISSUE comic, off the racks.
At the bottom of each page, click/tap the “Previous” link to see older FIRST ISSUES, all the way back to 1963.
